A singing sensation in the making…that’s Arnab Chakraborty! He won the coveted title in Sony Entertainment Television's reality music show, K For Kishore.

He hails from Kolkata, a regular live performer since the age of 15. Arnab Chakraborty started his career by singing advertisement jingles, remixes and regional movie songs.Within a few years of hard work Arnab got the big break he was waiting for. His song Wada Raha Pyar Se Pyar Ka from the film Khakee released in the year 2004 climbed the popularity charts very quickly and he was nominated for : 1.The Best Male Playback Singer at The Zee Cine Awards 2005 held at The Excel Arena in London 2. The Best Male Playback Singer at The Stardust Awards 2005. His next offering was Qatra Qatra from the movie FAMILY (2006), music by Ram Sampath and directed by RAJKUMAR SANTOSHI. Like in Khakee he is the voice of Akshay Kumar in Family too.
Along with Qatra Qatra the movie also features Arnab’s vocals in two more songs, Janam Janam and Quick Byte. Along with singing for movies, pop and remix albums Arnab is also the voice behind popular advertisement jingles featuring products and brands like AirTel, Parachute, Samsung, Britannia, 7UP, Vimal, Asian Paints, Odonil and host of others. Arnab made his debut as a playback singer as one of the singers of the title track of Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai for Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy and Javed Akhtar. He has already recorded with eminent composers like Jatin – Lalit, Daboo Malik, Shantanu Moitra, Leslie Lewis, Nikhil – Vinay, Salim – Suleiman and down south with M.M. Kreem (NENUNNANU - A Telegu Movie starring Nagarjuna and Aarti Agarwal).
His last offering was NAAM, his debut solo indipop album, released on Times Music. Arnab learnt Hindustani Classical Music from an early age and is still under the tutelage of Shri Gautam Mukherjee. In addition he has also done a 2 year Diploma In Hindustani Vocal Light under Pt.Achyut Thakur at the Mumbai University. Apart from Hindi, English and Bengali Arnab has sung in Assamese, Oriya, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Telegu and other languages. Arnab has recently emerged as the Champion of K for Kishore , a musical reality show based on the legendary Indian singer Kishore Kumar on Sony Entertainment Television and has signed an exclusive contract with Sony and a solo album contract with HMV Sa Re Ga Ma.
