Dr. Sudip Chattopadhyay

Sudip is Professor of Economics and past Chairperson of the Economics Department at San Francisco State university. He is a Fellow at Oak Ridge Associated Universities and has served as Senior Advisor at the federal Department of Health and Human Services. He has served as an economic consultant at several private/public agencies and as keynote speakers at multiple forums. Dr. Chattopadhyay obtained his Ph. D. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

Dr. Chattopadhyay has been active in charitable giving, specifically establishing educational scholarships for students in multiple institutions in India. During the cyclone “Amphan”, he worked with Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata, and offered generous financial support to provide relief to cyclone-affected victims in West Bengal. He has also been financially supporting Asha Bhavan Center – an Indian organization that provides vocational training to children with disabilities.
